Who We Are

In 2015, we began a non-profit basketball outreach clinic called Let's Get It Basketball (LGI) dedicated to players who are motivated to improve their skill and challenge themselves to become better than they were when they started. The "it" in Let's Get It becomes the goal the player wishes to fulfill. Since then, we've run LGI as a clinic open to players of all levels.

What We Stand For

We strive to create an environment where athletes know it is safe to make mistakes and are motivated to learn from them. We encourage players to build friendships and exercise teamwork and work hard. We want athletes to feel confident performing learned basketball techniques with a high level of skill and proficiency. We desire to share the love of Christ and the gospel with the families we get to connect with. We hope that by the end of this season, players will better understand who Jesus Christ is and ask questions.

What's changing in 2018?

This year, LGI is moving in the direction of becoming a "Prep to Rep" training academy for elite athletes (U12-U14). In other words, only players who already have playing experience, have intermediate to advanced basketball skills and are motivated to improve their skill to play at a higher level will be accepted.

Details

The training academy will run every Friday starting July 13, 2018 until August 10, 2018. It will be held at Humber Community Gym (300 Birmingham St in Etobicoke) and hosted by Coach and Skills Trainer, Gil Garrovillo

Cost

The cost is $40 for each player. This cost encompasses gym rental, training equipment/materials, and investing for future seasons.

This amount is fixed, even if the player is unable to attend all sessions. We encourage commitment and attendance, as spots are limited. If the player is unable to attend 3 or more sessions, they may receive a partial refund.

Cheques can be written out to "Living Hope Baptist Church" with the memo "Basketball Academy". Cash is also accepted. Payment is due by July 20, 2018 the latest.

We are a non-profit ministry run by Living Hope Baptist Church, a registered charitable organization. Receipts will be given at time of payment.

Click here to register and reserve your spot. Spots are limited as we are only accepting a maximum of 30 players.
